Once you reach the wooden structure, compare its position against the shell in the screenshot before moving on, because this stop comes before the crane and ship sections of the route.
Chest #12: Crane and orange ledge

Look beside the wooden crane for the orange strip running outside the parapet, then follow that strip around the stonework instead of searching only inside the wall.
