Butcher Hero Stats Explained
Butcher Hero stats are the numbers behind every kill: Health and Health Regen keep you alive, damage and defense come in four types, Evasion dodges hits, Lifesteal heals you as you hit, and crits, supercrits and Shock add burst damage. Every enemy you hook and eat adds a permanent stat boost, and percentage bonuses from different sources multiply with each other.

Damage and Defense Types
Damage and defense come in four named types, plus a Universal defense. Each damage type has a flat stat and a percent stat, and each defense type has the same pair. Global Attack raises your Damage against all enemies, and Global Defense raises your Defense against all enemies.
| Type | Damage stat | Defense stat |
|---|---|---|
| Smashing | Smash Damage | Smash Defense |
| Cutting | Cut Damage | Cut Defense |
| Piercing | Pierce Damage | Pierce Defense |
| Magic | Magic Damage | Magic Defense |
| Universal | - | Universal Defense |
Pick weapons by the green icon in the top-right corner, which shows the best weapon type against nearby enemies, and armor by the red icon, which shows the damage type they deal. The equipment guide covers weapon types in more detail.
Lifesteal
Lifesteal heals you for a portion of the damage you deal. It works per hit, while Health Regen heals you over time, The game has both a flat Lifesteal stat and a Lifesteal % stat.
Several sources feed it. The Vampiric Charm accessory raises Lifesteal drops from the map and carries an Extra Bounty ability for Lifesteal. A Soul Tree upgrade gives each Mark you apply a 33% chance to trigger Lifesteal, and the game's tip says to stack Marks on enemies to strengthen knives and greatly boost Lifesteal. One player pairs a Crimson fang shield with Wooden horns for Lifesteal and Regen.
Dodge and Block
Evasion is the chance to fully dodge an incoming attack, and the game shows Dodged when it works. A dodge removes the hit completely. Block works differently: Block Chance is the chance to block, and Block Amount is the percentage of damage a block removes.
Enemies use evasion too. Tier 2 Blacksmith mobs dodge attacks, and the Blacksmith has upgrades that reduce mob Evasion, including one that lowers it for every Cutting weapon you wear. In the Soul Tree, each successful Block adds Supercrit chance, and the bonus disappears after the next Supercrit.
Crit and Supercrit
A critical hit is a normal attack that lands for extra damage. Critical Strike Chance sets how often it happens, and Critical Strike Damage is the multiplier it applies. A supercrit is a rarer, stronger tier above a normal crit, with its own Supercrit Chance and Supercrit Damage multiplier.
Players say the supercrit bonus is applied on top of your regular crit damage. The Blacksmith also has upgrades that raise the Crit and Supercrit multipliers against its crab mobs.
Stats Video
The video shows boss fights and golem waves and how health and regeneration keep the butcher alive longer.
Shock and Lightning Strike
Lightning Strike is a weapon proc, and Shock is the status it leaves on an enemy. One Legendary smashing weapon ability gives a chance on hit to trigger Lightning Strike, which deals +100% damage and applies Shock. A Rare smashing weapon ability then absorbs the Shock from a Shocked target and resets the weapon's Attack Cooldown, with a chance to trigger Lightning Strike again.
Shield and Blacksmith effects build on it. A Piercing shield ability raises Health Regen for 2 seconds when Lightning procs. The stat list also has Empowered Lightning Chance and Empowered Lightning Damage, and a Blacksmith upgrade makes Lightning strikes on its mobs deal bonus damage equal to a share of their current HP.
Thorns Damage
Thorns Damage is not damage reflection. One helmet ability deals Thorns Damage equal to a percentage of your Cut Damage when you are hit, so Cut Damage drives it and the size of the incoming hit does not. One player says thorn pieces beat pure armor because they raise your damage output.
Attack Range and Speed
Attack Range is how far away you can hit, and the Soul Tree has an upgrade that greatly increases it against enemies on each of islands 1 to 14. Attack Cooldown is the wait between a weapon's attacks. A Piercing weapon ability gives the weapon Attack Speed on each hit, up to 10 stacks for 30 seconds.
Stacking Percentages
When percentage bonuses come from several sources, the game multiplies them together. A bonus from an item, one from the Soul Tree and one from a crystal each work on top of the others instead of adding into one pool. The game names these sources for stats: Ability, Buff, Achievements, Ads, Cashback, Crystal, Crystal Event, Crystal Guardian, Crystal Pass, Crystal Upgrade, Enemy, Event Buff, Event Debuff, Soul Tree, Item, Pass, Mine Upgrade, Quest, Reward, Secret Chest, Shop, Soul Pass and VIP.
Economy items raise the stat gains you collect from the map, as a tip in the game points out. The level up fast guide shows how stat drop boosts, Multicast and Extra Bounty gear fit together, and the Soul Tree guide covers the upgrades that raise your stats.
Progression Stats
Some stats do not change a fight. They change how fast your progress comes, and many of them live in the Soul Tree and on crystals.
| Stat | What it does |
|---|---|
| Soul Drop Amount | Quantity of souls dropped by enemies, which fuel the Soul Tree |
| Item Drop Amount | Quantity of rarity items that drop from enemies or chests |
| Item Spawn Timer | Time before a new rarity item spawns on the map |
| Tower Damage | Bonus damage dealt in the Boss Tower |
| Tower Damage Reduction | Reduces damage taken in the Boss Tower |
| Legendaries per Floor | Number of Legendary items that can appear per Boss Tower floor |
| Boss Tickets | The daily Boss Tower tickets you can spend |
| Extra Mark | How many Marks you can put on an enemy, used by piercing weapons |
| Empowered Lightning Chance | Chance to trigger an empowered lightning attack |
| Empowered Lightning Damage | Damage bonus when the empowered lightning attack triggers |
| Blacksmithing | Level of the geodes you create |
| Geode Spawn Timer Reduction | Reduces the wait before a new geode spawns |
| Enchant Extra Attempts | Extra tries when upgrading a crystal |
| Extra Bounty Chance | Raises the trigger chance of Extra Bounty item abilities, which can permanently grant extra stats on kill |
| Chest Level | Raises shop chest quality: it strongly affects Legendary drop chances and loot amount |
Geode timers and Blacksmithing connect to the Demonic Crystal system, and Tower Damage and Boss Tickets matter in the Boss Tower.
Max Stats
Stats keep growing for as long as you clear islands. Late in the game, flat rewards lose weight: one player notes that a flat health reward means nothing once your health reaches hundreds of millions. Percentage sources multiply with each other, as the stacking section above explains.
Where to Check Stats
Open your stats and tap on a stat for details. Tap and hold an item or accessory during play to read what it does, and use the Blacksmith Stats view to see its upgrades. The minimap shows enemy type hints for every location, so you can compare them with your own damage and defense before you go in.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Evasion and Block?
Evasion is the chance to fully dodge an incoming attack, so no damage lands. Block Chance is the chance to block an attack, and Block Amount is the percentage of damage a block removes. A dodge cancels the hit, while a block only reduces it. The Soul Tree can turn each block into extra Supercrit chance.
Does Lifesteal heal per hit or over time?
Lifesteal heals you per hit, as a portion of the damage you deal. Health Regen is the stat that heals you over time. Players use both: Regen between attacks while kiting, and Lifesteal while they keep hitting an enemy or a nearby tree. Wooden horns and a Crimson fang shield are one player's picks for them.
Is thorns the same as reflect damage?
No. Thorns Damage does not reflect a percentage of the hit you take. One helmet ability deals Thorns Damage equal to a percentage of your own Cut Damage when you are hit, so it scales with your Cut Damage. Players say thorn pieces can beat pure armor because they raise your damage output.
What does Shock do in Butcher Hero?
Shock is a status that Lightning Strike applies to an enemy. A Legendary smashing weapon ability gives a chance on hit to trigger Lightning Strike for +100% damage and apply Shock. A Rare weapon ability absorbs the Shock from a Shocked target and resets that weapon's Attack Cooldown, so the next hit comes sooner.
How do crits and supercrits differ?
A critical hit is a normal attack that lands for extra damage, set by Critical Strike Chance and Critical Strike Damage. A supercrit is a rarer, stronger tier above it, with its own Supercrit Chance and Supercrit Damage. Players say the supercrit bonus is applied on top of your regular crit damage.
Where can I see what a stat does?
Open your stats and tap any stat to read its details. For gear, tap and hold an item or accessory during play to open its details. The Blacksmith has its own Blacksmith Stats view, and the minimap shows enemy type hints for each location.
