Butcher Hero Soul Tree
The Soul Tree in Butcher Hero opens when you harvest the soul of the Legendary Dragon. After that, souls from defeated enemies buy upgrades, every upgrade gives amulet XP, and a higher amulet level unlocks new layers, called pages, with new upgrades. Buy farming and progression nodes first.
How to Unlock
The Soul Tree belongs to the amulet, and the amulet starts empty. The game tells you to fill it with a giant soul to unleash its power. That soul is the one dropped by the Legendary Dragon, so the unlock is a boss fight, not a level requirement. Until you win it, the amulet button reads Defeat Legendary Dragon to unlock.
Once you harvest the soul, the game says you can open the Soul Tree. Players report beating a dragon with a high-regen setup and nearby trees for sustain. Soul Types
Souls are the Soul Tree currency. You harvest them by killing enemies on the map, and different enemy types drop different souls. The game has seven soul types. The table shows where each one comes from and how many Soul Tree upgrades raise its drop amount.

A regular boss gives a Legendary soul and an empowered boss gives a Divine soul. The Boss Tower raid does not grant a soul. The amount of souls does not change with island level, so older islands are a fine place for daily soul farming. The level up fast guide has the farming routes.
Amulet Level and Pages
Every upgrade you buy gives amulet XP. When the amulet levels up, the game announces that you have discovered new Soul Tree upgrades and opens new layers. A layer is a page of the tree, and each page holds new upgrade nodes. Locked nodes show the amulet level they need, in the form Unlocks at Amulet lv.
The game does not give one fixed level for each page. The page progress bar shows how close you are to the next layer. Players say the first nodes of a new page often cost purple souls, so they keep a few in reserve. Also keep some of the limited orange souls rather than spending them all at once.

The video tours update 2.1, which added new Soul Tree upgrades along with Item Sharpening, Cloud Saves, Event Perks and Mythical weapons.
What to Buy First
The game's own tip says to prioritize farming and progression nodes before luxury upgrades. In practice that means anything that increases soul income, the charges and drops of item spawners, and the timers between respawns.
The table groups every upgrade type by what it does. The tree has 83 nodes in these groups, and the node counts come from the game text for the upgrades.

Players name the same order: soul income first, then item charges and item drops, then timers. More charges and more drops mean more items and souls in each daily clear, and shorter timers mean less waiting. The game also tells you not to save up souls for too long, so spend them on upgrades as soon as you can.

Chaotic Soul
The Chaotic Soul is the most powerful soul, and the game says to use it to unlock special abilities. You can get one in three ways: the shop offer, which allows one purchase per week, the achievement for opening all the secret chests in the first biome, and the Chaotic Harvest ability of the Soul Essence accessory, which mails one after a number of tree kills.

Geodes and Crystals

- Raise soul income before anything else, because every later purchase depends on it.
- Return daily to older islands, which drop the same soul amounts as new ones.
