Butcher Hero Demonic Crystals

Published: 2026-10-30

To get demonic crystals in Butcher Hero, find the Crystal Guardian on the map and break it with enough damage, health and regeneration to survive the hits it sends back. The win unlocks the Demonic Forge, which makes Geodes. Each Geode opens into a random crystal that you place in the amulet for extra power.

Find the Crystal Guardian

The Crystal Guardian is the big crystal standing on the map. While you have not broken it, the game shows an objective that says to break the crystal to gain the power of demonic crystals. Walk to it with the minimap open, and check the Butcher Hero map if you lose the way between islands.

The crystal fight is a test of stats. If you are still on the first islands, read the Butcher Hero beginner guide first and come back once your hero has grown.

Break the Guardian

The crystal hits back. Each time you hit it, it deals kickback damage to you, so you need to hit hard and recover at the same time. Players also say its regeneration rises as its health falls, which means a slow fight that leaves it a sliver of health can undo your work.

One guide says the winning formula is not only its health. You have to match its damage and its regeneration as well, so no single stat number guarantees the kill. Build damage, health and Health Regen together. The stats explained page lists what each of them does.

For weapons, a player recommends slower weapons with big single hits. Fewer swings mean fewer reflected hits, while the damage per swing stays high. Check weapon abilities and slots on the equipment guide before you go.

Demonic Forge and Geodes

When the Guardian breaks, the game announces that the Demonic Forge is unlocked and that you can open Geodes for great demonic power. The update mail that introduced crystals calls the same station the Demonic Anvil. It produces Geodes for you over time.

After the first win, a blue icon on the right of the screen opens the crystal window. Tap a Geode to open it and you receive a random crystal. Geode storage has a cap, so come back before it fills up. The game sends a notification when your Geodes are full, and you can switch that notification off in Settings.

Every 50 Geodes you open, the Guardian respawns. Beating it again gives +3 Blacksmithing, and the update mail promises a unique stat for each win. Players say it gets stronger on every respawn, so keep your build up to date between rounds.

Crystal Rarity and Quality

Crystals come in five rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary. Rarity changes the bonuses a crystal gives and also how far you can enchant it. Upgrading Blacksmithing in the crystal window raises crystal rarity and bonuses, and the game says Geodes become more valuable as your Blacksmithing level goes up.

RarityEnchant limitSoul Tree unlock
Common+1-
UncommonBetween +1 and +5-
RareBetween +1 and +5Unlocks Enchanting for Rare crystals
EpicBetween +1 and +5Unlocks Enchanting for Epic crystals
Legendary+5Unlocks Enchanting for Legendary crystals

Crystal Quality is a separate upgrade. A player says it raises your chance of a higher rarity, which you can see from the crystal background color. The game also says that matching stat types is often as important as rarity, so a Rare crystal with the stat your build needs can beat an Epic one with a stat you never use.

Amulet Slots

Crystals work only when they sit in the amulet. The game says to install crystals there to gain demonic power. Slots open in steps: some need a Soul Tree level, one comes from a Soul Tree upgrade called Third Crystal Slot, the Crystal Pass offer in the shop adds one, and a VIP perk adds another. A locked slot tells you which of these opens it.

Once you own spare crystals, a Soul Tree upgrade unlocks 3 crystal loadouts and an Unequip All button. Hold a loadout to save the current set and tap it to switch. For the Soul Tree itself, see the Soul Tree guide, and for the VIP perk see the VIP levels page.

Selling Extra Crystals

Weak crystals sell for Magic Dust, and Magic Dust pays for crystal upgrades that raise their total power and make enchanting more efficient. The game's own tips say to keep the inventory lean: sell, upgrade and repeat, and turn unused crystals into progress by selling and reinvesting often.

Use the Sell All button when the pile grows. It sells every crystal that is not protected, and you protect the ones you want by holding them first. The sell price rises with Soul Tree upgrades, and a player advises keeping your best stat rolls until you find better ones.

Enchant Crystals

Enchanting needs Enchantment Stones, and the game says new stones appear every 24 hours. Enchanting grants special stats and greatly boosts the flat stats of a crystal, and it raises both the total power and the sell value. Each crystal has a limit that depends on rarity: Common stops at +1, Legendary goes to +5.

The enchant chance depends on the Enchantment upgrade, and a failure shows the Enchantment failed message. If the odds look low, the game suggests building guaranteed progress instead of forcing risky attempts. A Soul Tree upgrade unlocks the Guarantee Enchant button, which makes every 100th enchant succeed. Even a Common crystal gets much stronger from enchanting.

Legendary crystals carry special abilities that also scale with enchanting. Their special stats are:

Geode timer upgrades help the most if you farm every day. Events also drop Geodes, Magic Dust and Enchantment Stones into their reward pool, so the events page is worth a look when a crystal event is live.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you break the crystal in Butcher Hero?

Hit the Crystal Guardian until it breaks, and stay alive while you do it. The crystal sends damage back with every hit and, players say, heals faster as its health drops. Bring strong hits and good regeneration, and use slower weapons with big hits so you take fewer reflected hits. A win unlocks the Demonic Forge.

What does the Crystal Guardian give?

Defeating it unlocks the Demonic Forge and Geodes, which open into random demonic crystals for the amulet. After every 50 Geodes you open, the Guardian respawns. Killing it again gives +3 Blacksmithing, and the update mail says each win also grants a unique stat. The Guardian is also stronger each time it comes back.

How do you get more Geodes?

Geodes appear on a timer at the Demonic Forge, so return often because storage has a cap and the game warns you when it is full. Soul Tree upgrades shorten the timer, raise the cap and cut five seconds for each kill. The Crystal Amulet accessory can also give a Geode when you kill an enemy.

What is crystal quality in Butcher Hero?

Crystal Quality is an upgrade stat. A player says it raises the odds of a higher rarity crystal, which you see as the crystal background color. Rarity runs from Common to Legendary, and Blacksmithing also raises crystal rarity and bonuses. Match the stat type to your build before you chase rarity, because the game says both matter.

Is the Demonic Forge the same as the Demonic Anvil?

Yes, it is the same station under two names. The unlock message calls it the Demonic Forge, while the update mail from the crystal release calls it the Demonic Anvil. Both say that beating the map crystal unlocks it and that it produces Geodes. This site uses Demonic Forge, as the in-game unlock message does.
