Events in Butcher Hero
The main event in Butcher Hero is a crystal golem hunt that the game now calls the Boss Hunt Event. You farm crystal golems on the map, defeat event bosses, climb 5 leagues from Bronze to Diamond, and collect Mythic gear as a reward. This page covers the currencies, the leagues, the perks, the bundle and the best way to farm.
Crystal Event Basics
Players still call it the Crystal Event, but the title shown in the game is Boss Hunt Event. The task is simple. The game tells you to hunt crystal golems and obtain special rewards and crystals. A counter on screen reads Crystal Golems on Map, so you always see how many are left to kill.
Before a run you choose a difficulty: Easy, Medium and Hard. The tutorial states the rule in one line, higher difficulty means better rewards, and the game shows the reward list only after you select a difficulty. The event also shows an Event Duration timer and an Event ends in countdown, and between events it shows when the next one starts. If time runs short, the game offers to buy extra time.
Crystal Attack and Defense
The event has two currencies of its own, named Crystal Attack and Crystal Defense. The tutorial says crystals give you a boost against event mobs, which is why the event is worth entering with a full stack of them. Event rewards also include Geodes, magic dust and enchantment stones in the higher leagues, and the gems guide shows how those currencies differ from Gems.
Event Boosters sit in their own tab. A booster offer reads like +N crystal golems, shows how many are left, and turns to Sold out when the stock ends. A Full label shows when the spawners are full, so check it before you buy another booster.
Crystal Golems on the Map
Crystal golems are the event enemies. They appear on your islands, wander around, and drop the crystals and rewards that fill the event bar. The faster you kill them, the more you collect.
After every promotion, check how fast you kill golems before you push further. Two practical warnings repeat across player threads. One says not to move up a league until your stats are really good, an older tip that predates update 2.1. Another says to be careful not to enter the next tier of golems too early, because you may end up grinding just to kill a single golem. A high league pays more, but it only helps if you can kill what spawns.
Boss Hunt
The event has bosses on top of golems. A line on screen reads You beat X of Y bosses, and the game says to defeat all of the bosses to get the rewards. The tutorial adds that the reward significantly improves for every defeated boss, so each extra kill matters even if you cannot finish the full list.
Update 2.1 added four new event bosses. The game's own update mail names them as ancient forest guardian, dark knight, pirate brute and fierce troll. The store page for the game also lists four new Event Bosses as a headline feature of the same update. For normal Boss Tower fights, which are a different mode, see the bosses page.
Bronze to Diamond Leagues
There are 5 leagues: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. You progress to the next league by defeating 15 bosses. When a tournament ends, the game announces the league of your next one, and a locked perk or reward shows the league where it unlocks. Higher leagues widen the event reward pool, as the table shows.
| League feature | What changes |
|---|---|
| Random perk each event | A random rule-changing boost is chosen whenever a new event begins. |
| Bigger perk pool | Higher leagues add more boosts to the pool. |
| Souls | Souls are added to the event reward pool. |
| Crystal rewards | Geodes, magic dust and enchantment stones are added to the event reward pool. |
Farming Video
The ride-along clip shows a player clearing an event map packed with golems, with the kill counter climbing as the run goes on. Notice how the player keeps moving to the next target, then compare that route with your own.
Event Perks
Event Perks arrived with update 2.1. A higher league unlocks perks, one is picked at random each time the event starts, and the pool grows with your league. A perk either affects the whole map or only the Event Boss, and the game says which. Most perks trade a bonus for a penalty, so read both sides before you pick your gear.
| Perk | Bonus | Penalty |
|---|---|---|
| Iron Skin | +200% armor | -75% healing from regen, lifesteal, fountain and item abilities |
| Shield Wall | +50% block amount | Evasion drops to 0% |
| Entangling Roots | x2 armor while rooted | Boss attacks root you for 2 sec |
| Elusive Prey | Your crits against the boss are always supercrits | Boss gets +40% evasion |
| Deadly Precision | Crits deal +200% damage | All enemies have +100% health |
| Risky Crits | 30% chance that your crit deals x5 damage | 70% chance that your crit heals the enemy |
| Living Grove | Golems turn into trees: they stand still and don't attack | None |
| Golem Nest | Event golems spawn only on the 1st island and don't wander far | None |
| Thick Skin | +25% max health | All enemies have a 10% chance to deal x3 damage |
| Titan's Burden | +150% max health | -100% health regen and lifesteal |
| Bloodthirst | +150% lifesteal | -100% health regen |
| Shared Recovery | +50% health regen | All enemies regenerate 1% health per second |
| Mirror Armor | The second armor slot copies the first | Only one armor item can be equipped |
| Weapon Twin | The second slot copies the first weapon. The copy gains +25% attack speed | Only the first weapon slot is available |
| Universal Slots | Any armor can be equipped in slots 3, 4 and 5 | Weapons can't be equipped in slots 3, 4 and 5 |
Living Grove and Golem Nest have no penalty. Living Grove turns golems into trees that stand still and do not attack, and Golem Nest keeps event golems on the first island.
Leaderboard
Update 2.1 also added event leaderboards with two tabs. The Local tab shows your closest rivals, and the Global tab shows the top players of all leagues. Use Local as a realistic target, because it shows who is just ahead of you.
Event Bundle
The Event Bundle offers Mythic accessories. Each copy you receive gives a star, and the offer shows a limit. Event rewards are also the place where players find Mythic items, such as the Mushroommancer set pieces on the items page. The table lists the accessories and what each one does. The exact percentages show in the item card in the game.
| Accessory | What it does |
|---|---|
| Blacksmith Pendant | Multiplies item copies from map |
| Crystal Amulet | Gives geodes per kill |
| Crystal Jar | Stores event golem souls |
| Gem Ring | Gives gems per kill |
| Star Compass | Multiplies stat drops |
| Soul Essence | Multiplies received souls |
Crystal Jar suits event farming best, because it stores the souls of golems you kill, lets you turn stored souls into Event Crystals at any time, and raises rewards from event mobs, bosses included. Gem Ring is the pick for Gems. Put the ones that match your goal into the accessory slots described in the equipment guide.
Mythic Weapons
Event rewards are one place to find Mythical weapons. The three below copy the damage of your top weapon of the same class, so they keep up when your gear improves.
| Weapon | Effect |
|---|---|
| Titan's Fury | Inherits best weapon damage |
| Crimson Thunder | Inherits best weapon damage |
| Phantom Fang | Inherits best weapon damage |
VIP can also open Mythic gear, through the daily chest. The VIP levels page lists which levels do that.
Golden Golem
The Blacksmith sells two upgrades for crystal golems. The first gives a chance that a Crystal Golem spawns Golden and carries Common accessory copies. The second raises the number of Common accessory copies that Golden Crystal Golems drop. Together they turn a plain golem kill into upgrade material for your accessories.
Both upgrades show their current value in the Blacksmith window, so check it there.
Event Farming Tips
Build a routine around the points above. Pick the difficulty where you finish the bosses, because the reward grows with every boss you beat. Keep your league low enough that golems die fast. Check the perk of the day before you start, and swap your gear when it penalizes your build. If you want the extra Gems for boosters, the free Gems guide lists sources.
Raise your base stats between events, because stronger stats shorten every hunt. The equipment guide is the place to start.
Timing matters too. One player warns against starting the Crystal Event too early: in their experience, ending and restarting it puts your progress percentage back to 0 while the boss keeps the strength it had already reached. Their advice is to wait until you are strong enough to clear the whole event in one go, which for them meant getting past Abandoned Polar Outpost first.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Crystal Event in Butcher Hero?
The Crystal Event is a timed event where crystal golems spawn on your map and you hunt them for special rewards and crystals. Update 2.1 added event bosses, leagues, perks and a leaderboard to it, and the game now titles the event Boss Hunt Event. You pick a difficulty first, and higher difficulty gives better rewards.
How do you get to the next league in Butcher Hero?
Defeat 15 bosses in the event to progress to the next league. The leagues run Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. After a tournament ends, the game tells you which league your next tournament starts in. Players warn that moving up too fast puts you against tougher golems, so build your character before you push.
What are Event Perks in Butcher Hero?
Event Perks are rule-changing boosts. Every time the event starts, the game picks one at random from a pool, and the pool grows as your league rises. Most perks pair a strong bonus with a penalty, for example Iron Skin gives +200% armor but cuts healing by 75%. Some affect the whole map and some only the Event Boss.
What is the Golden Golem in Butcher Hero?
A Golden Golem is a crystal golem that spawns golden and carries copies of Common accessories. Two Blacksmith upgrades control it: one raises the chance that a crystal golem spawns golden, and the other raises the number of Common accessory copies the golden ones drop.
Which Mythic items come from the event?
The Event Bundle holds six Mythic accessories: Blacksmith Pendant, Crystal Amulet, Crystal Jar, Gem Ring, Star Compass and Soul Essence. Event rewards also include three Mythical weapons that copy the damage of your best weapon in their class.
