Demonic Berserker in Butcher Hero

Published: 2026-10-31

Demonic Berserker gains Rage every second and becomes stronger and faster on Rage Level Up. Your own Rage Level Up counters his buildup by reducing his current Rage. Unlock him through the Soul Tree and bring equipment that develops your Rage alongside its direct damage.

Demonic Berserker at a Glance

Demonic Berserker is the Titan who locks you out unless you bring Rage of your own. His card in the Butcher Hero Boss Tower list reads "Gets angrier every second. Bigger, too", and he stays closed until you buy his unlock in the Soul Tree.

How Boss Rage Grows

The Berserker gains Rage every second. When his Rage Level rises, his damage and speed increase greatly. Time changes the pressure of the encounter even without a special action from the player to activate his buildup.

Keep boss Rage separate from player Rage. His level-up raises the threat, while your level-up triggers his weakness. A Rage weapon can contribute ordinary damage and help create the player events that reduce his current Rage during combat.

The battle has a timer as well. Waiting does not create a clear, and surviving the opening does not show how later Rage levels will feel. Compare the health remaining with the point at which his attacks become difficult to survive when reviewing a loss.

Your Rage Counter

The weakness increases your maximum Rage Level by 1 and lets that bonus exceed the cap. Each time you gain a Rage Level, the Berserker loses 20% of his current Rage. The reduction targets current Rage, rather than describing a permanent reduction to his maximum level.

Void Ripper lists Rage level unlocks and Rage gain on hit. Bat Cleaver supplies recovery on your Rage Level Up, while Chaos Reaver and Flame Cutter pair Rage generation with other offensive or defensive effects. The ability unlocks on each item determine which of those effects are available.

Check these options in the weapon roster and use the equipment guide for the broader gearing system. Choose a weapon for an ability that is active now rather than treating its later unlocks as effects you already have.

Players recommend Rage-equipped cutting weapons for the Berserker. The weakness explains the benefit of gaining Rage Levels, but does not describe a damage bonus for the Cutting category itself. Compare whole setups on the build selection page, including effects that support survival while developing player Rage.

This video follows fights with the tower Titans one after another. It offers a broader Boss Tower run for encounter comparison rather than a dedicated demonstration of a particular Berserker weapon setup.

Elite Floors and Upgrades

On every 10th floor the Berserker is Empowered and gains +1 maximum Rage Level and much faster Rage gain on those floors. The elite ability strengthens the same escalation that defines his regular battle, keeping your own Rage Level Up events relevant.

His Soul Tree upgrades unlock the encounter, reduce his Rage gain and add 1 Legendary equipment drop. The tower list displays Soul Tree level 4 for the locked Berserker. Consult the Soul Tree progression guide while working toward access and distinguish the unlock from the later combat improvement.

Berserker Loot and Raids

Beating him on a normal floor gets you a Legendary soul, and an Empowered floor gets you a Divine one. Players report flare shell or wing equipment among his drops, and his reward node in the Soul Tree puts one more Legendary item in the pool.

Raids are the safety valve when his next floor stops you: spend a daily ticket to repeat a floor you have already beaten and take its equipment. They give no soul, so they never replace a real clear.

Plan Your Attempt

  1. Reach the displayed Soul Tree requirement and obtain the Berserker unlock.
  2. Check active Rage generation and Rage level unlocks on your equipment.
  3. Watch the health race alongside the Berserker escalation.
  4. Develop player Rage Levels to trigger the reduction of boss current Rage.
  5. Review the Rage-gain reduction upgrade and your available abilities if the boss grows too dangerous before the clear.

A failed attempt can reveal whether the boss escalates too quickly or remains too healthy before the timer ends. Use that observation when comparing the combat upgrade with an equipment change, and review the stat explanations for the attributes involved.

One more check before a push: the tower marks one Titan as Weakened each day. Pick the Berserker on his day and he takes the daily debuff, which Soul Tree upgrades can strengthen.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you beat the Demonic Berserker?

Out-Rage him. He gains Rage every second and gets much more damage and speed on each Rage Level Up, but every Rage Level you gain cuts his current Rage by 20%. The weakness also raises your max Rage Level by 1, even above the cap. Bring weapons that generate Rage on hit and check their ability unlock levels.

How do I unlock the Demonic Berserker?

He opens through the Soul Tree upgrade called Unlocks Berserker in Boss Tower, and the tower list shows Soul Tree level 4 on his locked card. Slime King, Primal Lava Crab and Vikings are open from the start, so clearing them does not add him.

What does the elite Demonic Berserker change?

On an Empowered floor he gets +1 maximum Rage Level and his Rage gain becomes much faster, so he escalates sooner. A Soul Tree upgrade reduces his Rage gain, and it is the first thing to look at when an Empowered floor beats you before the timer runs out.

Which weapons help against the Demonic Berserker?

Rage weapons, because every Rage Level you gain hurts him. Void Ripper gains Rage on hit and lists Rage Level unlocks, and Bat Cleaver recovers health when you level up Rage. Chaos Reaver and Flame Cutter pair Rage generation with other effects. Players recommend cutting weapons with Rage, though the weakness gives no bonus to Cutting itself.

What does the Demonic Berserker drop?

Players report flare shell or wing equipment. The Soul Tree can add one more Legendary item to his drops. Legendary souls drop on normal floors and Divine souls on Empowered ones, while a raid only replays a cleared floor for gear and never pays a soul.
