Vampire King in Butcher Hero

Published: 2026-10-31

Vampire King is a Boss Tower boss who wins by feeding. Every 8 seconds he calls 4 Acolytes that walk to the middle of the arena and sacrifice themselves to heal him and raise his damage and speed. Kill the Acolytes before they reach the center, using first hits and Lightning, and the fight becomes a normal damage race.

Vampire King at a Glance

Vampire King is one of the six Titans of the Butcher Hero Boss Tower. His card in the tower list carries the line "The ritual isn't for summoning. It's for dinner", and the joke is accurate: the summoning circle in his arena is where his helpers go to be eaten.

Each Titan has his own floor counter. In the tower list one player sat at Vikings 13 and Demonic Berserker 12 while Vampire King and the Lich were still on floor 1, because the last two open later. The boss gets more health with every floor: in one climb the bar read 90.5M on floor 5 and 599M on the Empowered floor 10.

How the Sacrifice Works

The fight is a race against a clock you can see. Every 8 seconds four Acolytes appear and walk toward the circle in the middle of the arena. Each one that arrives sacrifices itself, which heals the Vampire King and empowers his damage and speed. Miss a full wave and he not only recovers health but also hits harder for the rest of the fight.

That is why raw damage on the boss is not enough. A build that ignores Acolytes trades blows with a boss who keeps getting stronger, while a build that catches every wave fights the same Vampire King from start to finish. Players who cannot stop the waves describe a simple rule: either the boss dies before the Acolytes reach the middle, or the attempt is lost.

Using His Weakness

His weakness is built for wave clear. The first hit on each Acolyte deals 100% extra damage, and every Lightning proc strikes all Acolytes at the same time. Both parts reward weapons that open strong and weapons that call Lightning, rather than slow single-target damage.

The game's own tips say that item abilities can synergize with Boss Tower weaknesses and that matching weaknesses often matters more than raw item level. Players add that tower bosses have no weapon-type weakness of their own, so pick weapons for the ability fit, not for Smashing, Cutting or Piercing. The stats guide explains Shock and Lightning, and the best builds page shows full loadouts.

Empowered Floors and Rewards

Every 10th floor is Empowered: the Titan gains his elite ability and drops a special Divine soul instead of the Legendary soul of a regular floor. The reward screen after floor 10 lists the soul together with several pieces of equipment. Each Boss Tower boss drops equipment, and players report Cogsmith helmets and shields from Vampire King runs.

Once you have beaten a floor, a raid lets you claim its rewards again for a ticket without fighting. Raids do not give a soul, and you must defeat a boss at least once before you can raid him. Tickets refill every day, so spend them daily on the boss whose drops you need. The Soul Tree guide covers the upgrades that add tickets and extra Legendary drops.

Step by Step

  1. Unlock him with the Vampire Unlock upgrade in the Soul Tree.
  2. Equip at least one Lightning weapon and one weapon with a strong first hit.
  3. Open the Vampire King floor in the Boss Tower list and check the Weakened boss of the day: on some days he takes a daily debuff.
  4. Watch the edges of the arena. Each time a wave appears, switch to the Acolytes before they reach the circle.
  5. Between waves, hook and hit the boss himself, and keep an eye on the timer and his health bar.
  6. If he starts to out-heal you, leave, upgrade stats or swap gear, and return. After the first win, raid the floor daily for its drops.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you beat the Vampire King in Butcher Hero?

Stop the sacrifices. He summons 4 Acolytes every 8 seconds, and each one that reaches the center heals him and makes him faster and stronger. His weakness gives your first hit on an Acolyte 100% extra damage, and every Lightning proc hits all Acolytes at once, so Lightning weapons and first-hit weapons clear them before they arrive.

How do I unlock the Vampire King?

Boss Tower starts with three bosses: Slime King, Primal Lava Crab and Vikings. Vampire King joins later through a Soul Tree upgrade called Vampire Unlock. The same tree has separate unlock upgrades for the Lich and the Demonic Berserker, so the full set of six Titans opens as you invest souls.

What changes on an Empowered floor?

Every 10th floor of a Boss Tower boss is Empowered and adds his elite ability. For Vampire King it is: spawns 2 extra acolytes. sacrifice now also boosts boss defense. With six Acolytes per wave and sacrifices that also raise his Defense, letting even one reach the center hurts far more than on a normal floor.

What does the Vampire King drop?

Each Boss Tower boss drops equipment, a regular floor gives a Legendary soul and an Empowered floor gives a Divine soul. Players report Cogsmith gear among his drops. A Soul Tree upgrade adds one Legendary equipment drop for the Vampire King, and raids let you repeat a floor you already beat for its rewards.

Why does the Vampire King keep healing?

Because Acolytes reach the center. The sacrifice heals him and empowers his damage and speed, so a long fight with missed Acolytes turns his health bar back up. If he heals faster than you hurt him, leave, improve your stats or weapons, and come back: the game itself suggests upgrading stats or changing equipment after a loss.
