Mystic Mallet in Butcher Hero
Mystic Mallet is the Legendary weapon of the Smashing line and the storm hammer of Butcher Hero. Every hit has a 12% chance at the base item, rising to 30% at item level 15, to call a Lightning Strike that deals +100% damage and leaves the enemy Shocked. Its two other abilities make all Lightning hit harder and add damage for every Shock that gets absorbed.
Mystic Mallet at a Glance
Mystic Mallet takes a weapon slot and deals Smashing damage, so it fits islands whose green weapon hint points at Smashing. It sits at the top of the regular weapon ladder: Common, Uncommon, Rare and Epic hammers come first, and the Legendary tier closes the line. Abilities by Item Level
Read the three abilities like this. Lightning Strike rolls on every hit for a Lightning Strike worth +100% damage that also puts Shock on the enemy. Storm Amplifier lifts all Lightning damage. Shock Ramp adds a damage bonus against the target for each absorbed Shock. The table lists every value from the base item to level 15, and a dash marks an ability that is still locked.

The Lightning chance climbs by two points at most steps and then makes one large jump: it goes from 24% at level 14 to 30% at level 15. That final step is the biggest single upgrade on the card, so the last level is the one worth saving copies for.
Lightning and Shock
Two terms matter here. A Lightning Strike is the hit itself, and Shock is the lingering state it leaves on the victim. A Shocked enemy takes no extra harm on its own; the payoff goes to gear that consumes the Shock and earns a reward for it. The mallet is the supplier in that exchange. Lightning Strike puts Shock on the target. Storm Amplifier makes every Lightning hit stronger, including the strikes that other hammers call. Shock Ramp turns each absorbed Shock into a damage bonus against the same target, so a long fight against one boss rewards the mallet more than a quick fight against many small enemies.

Best Pairings
The first partner is Titan Hammer (Epic). Its Shock Combo ability absorbs Shock from a Shocked target and fires its first-hit bonus again, so every Lightning Strike from the mallet gives it a fresh empowered blow. The Titan Hammer page has its full table.
Arcane Maul (Rare) uses Shock Stun to absorb Shock and reset its attack cooldown, and it adds stuns with Heavy Stun. Toxic Hammer (Uncommon) brings Shock Consume and Storm Slots, which raises Lightning Strike chance for all hammers by 5% per empty slot. The common Stone Breaker fills out the Smashing line, and the Mythic Crimson Thunder from events has Crimson Lightning, a lightning that deals twice as much damage as the regular kind.
Levels, Copies and Evolution
Every duplicate of the mallet that you pick up adds to its item level. Map drops supply them, and the Blacksmith Pendant accessory can multiply a drop. Spare gear can also go to the Blacksmith, who turns it into extra duplicates and keeps the progress if you pull the item out.
